Rachel Carter Ceramics exists under the treetops of Rachel’s Titirangi Studio, where she creates her signature stoneware: throwing, turning, glazing and firing daily, resulting in functional, considered pieces with well-balanced forms and muted tones. 

The work she produces is deeply rooted in her personal and professional practice, which began in 2005 when she completed her Diploma in Ceramic Arts, then gaining experience working closely with renowned New Zealand Potter Peter Collis. Today, Rachel’s work is highly revered by customers and collectors who share her love of craft, design and art.

As an artist Rachel produces work handcrafted with traditional methods to enhance the rituals of daily life. Her pieces bring a calm beauty to their environment, and although refined in their appearance, each one is  designed for everyday use and appreciation. 

In addition to her explorative work and art practice, Rachel collaborates on bespoke pieces and commissions with New Zealand's leading Chefs, Hoteliers, Architects and Designers.
